Wednesday's News

Jayden said, "Today at art I finished my fairytale and mine is Humpty Dumpty.  Today I wrote the story and glued my border on.  Trystan helped me glue it on."

Allie added, "Today at the end of the day we had a Read In and I read part of Sky the Unwanted Kitten and barely one page of Sophie the Awesome."

Tuesday's News

Al said, "Today in read aloud we read George's Marvelous Medicine and the chapter was George's Marvelous Medicine Number Three and the last 2 chapters are George's Marvelous Medicine Number Four and Good-bye Grandma.  I think that the medicine is  going to make another part of the  body grow because the neck is already 6 feet tall on the rooster and the legs on a chicken are 15 feet tall."

Maddie added, "Today the question was for the Dr. Seuss week.  It was What Dr. Seuss book has the characters:  Miss Fuddle DiDuddle and Conrad Cornelius O'Connor O'Dell?

Monday's News

Justin said, "Today in computer we went on a website called  www.factmonster.com  and today we did number sentences.

Fred added, "Today at library, Mrs. Parda showed us how to find a book on the computer."

Alex exclaimed, "In the morning the question of the day was: Which Dr. Seuss book has Pam the Clam and Quincy Queek?  A second after Mrs. Parda said it was hard, we knew the answer!  I had already read the book at least ten times!"

Friday's News

Katrina stated, "Today for Writer's Workshop, I finished my book and I started to color in the pictures.  I only got up to page 3."

Boris exclaimed, "Today in physical education we went on the Tower of Power and I only got to 3 Tower of Powers.  Two was the skinniest rope and the other one was the Tower of Power with the knots.  I also went to the Multi-Vines and Despina was cheering me on and I wasn't that frightened!"

Thursday's News

Trystan said, "Today we glued on our cloud reports with our partners.  My partner was Jayden."

Boris said, "Today at physical education I went on the Tower of  Power and I climbed over the whole thing and it was about 10 or 11 feet and I said to myself...don't look down, don't look down.  The Verma Loops were hoops and you had to climb on it and stretch out your legs or you could go on the bottom and swing to the top."

Mrs. LeFevre added, "We saw a teaser of the show Annie today that the Middle School is performing and it looked terrific!  The actors and actresses did an amazing job!"

Wednesday's News

Despina chuckled, "At the end of the day for Read Aloud, Jayden read a story about a monster who was going to eat a kid and he already ate a bed."

Madison added, "Today I read my story, Gymnastics, and Maddie was in it and she learned how to do a head stand in my story and I told about learning how to do my back handspring."

Daisy said, "Today we read George's Marvelous Medicine and his grandma kept on growing and making holes in the house."

Alyson said, "Today at recess I went to the Quiet Room and I drew 2 big butterflies and I drew little dots on them and then  time was up for recess."

Friday's News

Kishan said, "Today at gym we made up this game where you couldn't walk on the mats you had to use pads to get across.  I got to each station about 3 times.  It was pretty easy."

Renee stated, "We read George's Marvelous Medicine and the mixture is turning blue but he puts paint in the medicine to  make it turn brown.  The next chapter is called Grandma Gets the Medicine."

Thursday's News

Ryan said, "Today at recess I was playing with a ball and shooting it in a hoop and I only got one shot inside."

Maddie added, "Today in math we had to do these math problems and we had to figure out how many circles we would  need if Mrs. LeFevre was going to cut 3 circles each for 17 kids."

Wednesday's News

Alex said, "Today was St.Patrick's Day and a leprechaun visited us and after that our teacher gave us a special leprechaun drink that turned green."

Allie stated, "Today at art we made puppet leprechauns out of bags and paper and mine had a fat head."

Mrs. LeFevre exclaimed, "We earned another Mystery Reward and tomorrow is Favorite Team Day!"

Tuesday's News

Fred said, "At gym we started doing more trestles and things that include ropes."

Jayden added, "Today at read aloud, we read George's Marvelous Medicine and the next chapter is called 'The Cook Up'.  Today George was getting animal pills and putting it in the medicine."

Monday's News

Despina said, "Today we went to Ms. Barrow.  We learned about the Invention Convention."

Al said, "Today at library I got a free book and Boris did too and we read our free books together."

Justin said, "Today we had Writer's Workshop and I just finished one of my books and I am almost done with another one."

Friday's News

Allie said, "Today during Writer's Workshop I was illustrating my book and the cover is light blue.  It is called UConn Basketball and I drew Jonathon the husky dog on the front."

Kishan added, "Today at gym we were playing games on different objects. On the rope swing you had to  throw one of the rubber animals in a white bucket or yellow hula hoop and the white bucket was the boiling hot water nd the hula hoop was the frying pan."

Wednesday's News

Katrina said, "Today at lunch and recess I played with Daisy.  We were on the tire swing.  I was laying down and relaxing with half of my body in the hole and Daisy was pushing me so slow I wouldn't get sick.  Then we played on the monkey bars and I taught her how to jump to the second bar."

Daisy added, "Today at art we made our collages of fairy tales and I made the 3 little pigs."

Madison said, "Today at math we did Guess My Shape? and one of them was a rhombus and another was a trapezoid."

Tuesday's News

Renee stated, "Today everybody made 4 triangles and Mrs. LeFevre split us up into groups.  My group was Despina, Alex, Ryan and me.  We got 5 ways to sort the triangles."

Fred said, "Today in gym we started the beginning of the trestle tree and it was pretty small."

Monday's News

Maddie said, "We made these leprechauns and they were made out of paper.  We had to write about what we were lucky for and one of mine was: I'm lucky because I have an awesome, great 2nd grade teacher!"

Ryan added, "Today at computer we made the water cycle.  When water evaporates up to the clouds, then the clouds get dark and it starts to rain."

Friday's News

Jayden said, "Today at gym we had a group, it was Maddie, Justin and I and we started at the trestles, we went to vaulting, then went to jump off the stage, then to a rolling station and then to ropes."

Trystan said, "Today we read a book called Hey, Al.  We've been wanting to read that book since we got it.  It's been a long time."

Thursday's News

Alyson said, "Today at gym we did half of the trestle tree and we got to climb a rope and I climbed all the way to the first line of the rope and I did 4 rolls in the egg roll and 4 rolls in the pencil roll on the downward mat.  We jumped off the stage onto mats."

Boris said, "Today we had Must-Do's and one was Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs and I wrote a paper and it said: Cloudy with a chance of pepperoni pizza and cheese pizza that fell on an aquarium.  Everybody was very scared because the sharks and stingrays were eating the whole pizzas."

Wednesday's News

Madison said, "Today we read The Magic Finger and the Gregg family turned into ducks."

Alex added, "Today we had art and in art we brainstormed fairytales and drew pictures of them."

Tuesday's News

Kishan said, "Today at physical education we started some of the trestle tree and I  only got to 2 of  the stations.  One is standing on the stage and jumping on a mat and the other one I did was run and push yourself over the wall to get across."

Despina stated, "Today in math we learned about symmetry.  Symmetry is when you divide a shape and the parts have to match exactly.  Symmetry is a mirror image."

Monday's News

Alyson stated, "Today we picked out quilt squares and we did the one we picked 4 times.  I did Jayden's 4 times and it was a rectangle quilt square."

Madison exclaimed, "Today we got 100 stars and our Mystery Reward was Game Day!  We can bring in games tomorrow."
