Tuesday's News

Declan said, "We played a game in math and there was a 100 chart and you had to spin a dime, a penny, a nickel and a penny, 3 pennies, a nickel and 2 pennies or a penny and a nickel."

Colten said, "Today we had a short day like yesterday and we only did everything in the morning and only some in the afternoon. Now we are doing end of the day read aloud and blog."

Monday's News

Taylor said, "We had a short day today and we started making our costumes for our 1st grade Thanksgiving Feast."

Ava said, "Today we had a short day and we did Word Boxes at the end of the day and the words were: take, on, him, some and put."

Friday's News

Taylor said, "We went to our feast today and had turkey that was good! We also sang a song with everybody."

Ava said, "Today we played a game with only pennies on the game board but pennies and nickels on the spinner. After we did math problems and there was a challenge with tens."

Thursday's News

Hunter said, "Sea stars have stomachs that pop out to eat the food. It releases the acid that kills the mussel and then it's stomach goes back in."

Ava said, "Today we wrote on the Smartboard things we noticed about our quilt. There is a chart next to it that counts by 5's. The quilt only goes up to 75 arms but what the chart goes up to 100."

Wednesday's News

Ben said, "We made a sea star quilt with sea stars and we are learning about sea stars. When they are hungry they pop their belly out of their mouth and then eat their food and pull their stomach back through their mouth."

Declan said, "We went to gym and we played scooters. There was scooter hockey, scooter frisbee, scooter basketball, scooter football, scooter lacrosse and scooter soccer."

Tuesday's News

Aiden said, "At gym we were doing all this scooter stuff like hockey, frisbee, basketball and lacrosse."

Samantha said, "We made letters to teachers for Thanksgiving. It was for our teachers last year and other people that work at Vinton."

Friday's News

Colten said, "Today we went to art and made another creative galaxy out of shapes. When I was done I made a bag out of paper."

Louis said, "We went on a fall walk and we stomped on the crunchy leaves.  Then we made new fall pictures to put in our class big books."

Thursday's News

 Jayson said, "We colored our clocks in all the way to 6. It was colored half."

Symarie and Aiden said, "We went to the library and watched a movie about a dog named Harry and he didn't like the sweatshirt with the roses his grandma gave him for his birthday ."

Monday's News

Mrs. LeFevre said, "Today our class wrote our own definition of the word family:
A family is a group of people that are related.  They help, teach and love each other.  They play, celebrate and work together."

Hunter said, "We had new things at gym today.  There were plungers on sticks and they turn inside out and stick on the floor and we had to unstick them and turn them around.  Aiden was our new student today!"

Sofia said, "We made 2 birthday books, one was for Aiden and one was for Ava.  We made trees and if you had no siblings at this school you had to put all 5 apples on it and if you had 1 sibling at this school you had to put 4 apples and if you had more than 1 sibling at this school you only put 3."

Friday's News

Colten said, "Today we went to art and made lines on the moon and we also made necklaces."

Jadyn said, "We had free choice because  we got our star chart filled.  We played Tic Tac Toe."

Samantha said, "We are off on Monday because it is Veteran's Day. We learned it is a day off for people who might have fought in a war and if they were in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard or Marines. There is a parade for them to say Thank You for helping our country."

Wednesday's News

 Jessica said, "We went to gym and we got to ride scooters and do different stuff with them like connect them and pull people on the scooters.  We got to pull on ropes and got to play hockey on scooters."

Declan said, "We went in our journals and wrote about stuff we could do sometime and a lot of people did stuff that they've never done before and I know because I was looking."

Tuesday's News

Taylor said, "We went to gym and got to connect the scooters and roll around kids. My partners went fast and we went around the gym and it was fun."

Ben said, "Today was Hunter's birthday and we had cupcakes for snack and we made a book for him. We wrote what we pretended we got him and we learned a new song called The Birthday Cheer."

Anthony said, "We played Domino Flash to practice using our addition strategies."

Ava said, "Symarie told us about her pumpkin and then we had to draw it and then she showed it to us and Declan got it right."

Friday's News

David said, "In art class we made an outer space picture from another galaxy and we painted it."

Ava said, "Today we wrote about our field trip to the Children's Museum and how we did and didn't like it.  We wrote about what we learned too and also we said if our friends should go or  not.  I said they should go because they would like the bean bag place."
